OET Scores and Grades
Each of the four areas of the OET, such as Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking, has been graded on a scale of 0-500. (also known as subtests). 500 is the highest possible score, while 0 is the lowest. See the table below to clearly understand your English proficiency level, OET Score, and corresponding grade

| 450-500 | A | You speak English fluently and are able to communicate effectively. Using the proper registered tones and lexis, you may speak with patients and medical professionals clearly and effectively. The candidate has a strong command of both spoken and written language. |
| 350-440 | B | You are able to interact with patients and medical professionals efficiently. Although there may occasionally be errors and hesitancies, it demonstrates a thorough awareness of therapeutic situations. |
| 300-340 | C+ | You can keep the interaction in a relevant healthcare environment even if you make mistakes or slip up once in a while. |
| 200-290 | C | Although you can comprehend most spoken language used in your field of expertise, you might need more explanation for higher-level language. |
| 100-190 | D | In your area of expertise, you can maintain some interaction and comprehend certain factual information, but you may need to clarify something. However, errors could occur frequently, and overusing technical terms can make communication difficult. |
| 0-90 | E | Simple exchanges on well-known subjects can be managed, and you can grasp the primary idea of brief and straightforward messaging. Only when the other person is willing to provide clarification can you interact. In your area of expertise, you can maintain some interaction and comprehend certain factual information, but you may need to clarify something. However, errors could occur frequently, and overusing technical terms can make communication difficult. |
